About the Artist
Inspired by precious & semi-precious stones, her imagination and the world around her; Rain will saw, file, sand, solder & polish sheet metal and wire to create earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc.
More sculptural pieces are carved from wax, molded and cast from molten metal.
Rain creates jewellery using gold, Sterling silver, bronze, copper and sometimes stainless steel.
Rain is best known for her filigree wire work and carved/cast designs.
Rain creates bespoke and limited edition works of art in metal. She calls her need to create, her Silvercidal Tendencies.
With a background in Art, Rain found her passion in jewelry making & design.
She learned her craft through community classes, workshops, books, the internet, lots of trial and experimentation.
Rain learned wax carving from local goldsmith, Sandra Webster of Atelier Pika.
